It's a jam-packed weekend in San Diego. Big fests are busting out all over, just as we hope spring will be soon. We’ve got the best bets for you from March 3-6, whether you want to stay near Rancho Bernardo or take a drive to find even more to do.

Why Go: The hotel's Veranda lounge prepares a different menu of small bites according to the mood set by the musician. This week that's saxophonist Bill Shreeve.

Why Go: Pianist Endre Hegedus performs a range of selections from Franz Lizst, the Hungarian composer, to mark the 200th anniversary of his birth. A reception follows.

A LITTLE FARTHER AFIELD

 

Where/when: Spring Home & Garden Show, Del Mar Fairgrounds, Friday through Sunday.

Why Go: To see the latest in home and garden design, get some ideas and lessons for renovations and meet experts who can help solve that nagging fix-it problem.

Price: $1 to $8; discounts are available.

Where/when: Chula Vista Nature Center, Chula Vista, 10 a.m., Saturday.

Why Go: James Stone, whose Stone and Glass studio is at the Bernardo Winery, is one of 12 local artists whose work will be displayed at the center's new exhibit, “Art Aquatic.”

Price: $6-11.

Where/when: San Diego Air & Space Museum, San Diego, 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Why Go: For the Radius Festival, where top dance performers in the electronic, techno, dubstep and trance genres will take the stage.

Price: $60-$155.
