East Meets West with Cirque Du Soleil’s 'Dralion'

Cirque du Soleil is back in San Diego for another spectacular show.

What happens when you put a dragon and lion together? You get Cirque du Soleil’s latest show Dralion.

The 3,000 year old art of Chinese acrobatics joined forces with Canadian based artistic group, Cirque du Soleil to bring Dralion. The show premieres Thursday at the Valley View Casino Center.

The show’s name, Dralion, represents the fusion of two animals—the dragon representing the east, and a lion from the west. Inspired by eastern philosphy, Dralion hopes to find harmony between humans and nature.

Tickets start at $28 for kids 12 and under and $35 to $85 for adults. The show runs until Nov. 18.

Regarding Patch's response to this comment: A 'typo' is when someone hits the wrong key on theRead More keyboard, like typing "Democrut" or "Demacrat." Calling a Democrat a Republican is a MISTAKE and party affiliation is very easy to check check these days. Maybe this is just a "blog," I'm not sure. But if it's a "news site", and the people writing stories are purporting to be "journalists" or "reporters" could easily do better and should do so. Let's not minimize a factual error in a "news" story as a "typo."

I think that Fletcher flip-flops partially because he is looking for means to bring HIS politics toRead More the table.
