Christmas and Hanukkah Come Together at RBBA's Tree and Menorah Lighting

The RBBA held its seventh annual tree and menorah lighting at Webb Park Tuesday night.

Christmas and Hanukkah came together once again in Rancho Bernardo Tuesday night at the seventh annual Rancho Bernardo Business Association's Tree and Menorah Lighting.

A healthy-sized crowd of residents stood in Webb Park, next to Pactrust Bank at 16840 Bernardo Center Drive, to watch Temple Adat Shalom's men singing group, The MenschTones and Mt. Carmel High School's Ensemble Choir Dec. 4.

Even jolly old St. Nick showed up to hear the a capella tunes!

Rabbi Goldstein of Congregation Chabad and Rev. Frederick W. Thayer of Rector of St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church both said prayers to begin the night, which was highlighted with the lighting of a Christmas Tree and Menorah.

The best part of the evening? An unintentional crossing of religions when Rabbi Goldstein lit up the Christmas tree and Rev. Thayer lit up the menorah!
