Spring Into the Weekend with Theater, Music and Rhythms of Asia

You made it to the weekend, now what? Patch found weekend events happening March 22-24.

Are you ready for longer days, more sun and activities? Spring has officially sprung and we think you should get out to enjoy the changing seasons!

BERNARDO HEIGHTS AND TWIN PEAKS MIDDLE SCHOOLS ORCHESTRA CONCERT

  • What's Up: Twin Peaks and Bernardo Heights Middle Schools will perform with The Palomar Symphony Orchestra for an evening of classical music.
  • When: 8 p.m. on Friday, March 23

'AN INSPECTOR CALLS' OPENING NIGHT

SAN DIEGO WINDS COMPOSER CONCERT

  • What's Up: Musical groups from all over the county will perform in a finale concert. The evening will feature Maestro Anthony Maiello and the music of Bernstein and McBeth.

PAWS IN THE PARK

  • What's Up: Escondido Humane Society will host Paws in the Park. The annual dog walk will help raise money and awareness for the Humane Society. Activities include a vendor expo, games, prizes and more.

RHYTHMS OF ASIA

  • What's Up: Discover the rhythm and music of various cultures in Asia. Rhytms of Asia will showcase the Chinese Dragon Dance, Philippine Dance, Thai Dance, Bollywood and more.
  • When: 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 24
  • Where: Poway Center for the Performing Arts, 15498 Espola Rd., Poway
