PRESCRIPTION TAKE BACK DAY

  • What's Up: Drop off any unused or expired prescription drugs with no questions asked. There will be drop off locations in Rancho Bernardo and Poway.
  • When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 27. 
  • Where: Scripps Clinic, 15004 Innovation Dr, Rancho Bernardo or San Diego County Sheriff's Poway Station, 13100 Bowron Rd., Poway. 

RANCHO FAMILY YMCA’S HEALTHY KIDS DAY

  • What's Up: YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day will feature educational activities, camp vendors, class demonstrations, sample healthy snacks and live music entertainment. The YMCA hopes to kick-start healthier behaviors in children, just in time for summer.
  • When: 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 27. 
  • Where: Rancho Family YMCA, 10481 Scripps Poway Pkwy., Poway. 
  • Price: Free. 

TRAIN SONG FESTIVAL

  • What's Up: Hop aboard and embark on an adventure. Train Song Festival will explore the train yard of the Poway Midland Railroad. 
  • When: 1 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 27. 
  • Where: Old Poway Park, 14134 Midland Rd., Poway.
  • Price: Free. 

JEWISH FOOD FESTIVAL

  • What's Up: Temple Adat Shalom will host the annual Jewish Food Festival. The event will include traditional Jewish Food, celebrity chefs, auctions, vendors and raffles. 
  • When: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 28.
  • Where: Temple Adat Shalom, 15905 Pomerado Rd., Poway.
  • Price: $15. 

READY TO TAKE THE DIAMOND AND STRIKE OUT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE EVENT

  • What's Up: The annual charity fundraiser event will feature a baseball game to raise awareness in the prevention of domestic violence. Check out Team Poway take on Team San Diego for a day of baseball.
  • When: 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 28. 
  • Where: Lake Poway, 14644 Lake Poway Rd., Poway.
  • Price: $10-$20.
