Daily Dose: Redistricting and Raindrops

What you need to know for Tuesday, Sept. 6.

Here's what you need to know for Tuesday.

  • County redistricting: The county Board of Supervisors is set to meet at 2 p.m. to consider two new redistricting maps after backing away from a previous version in the face of potential legal challenges related to the Voting Rights Act. Rancho Bernardo would remain in one district—District 3—in all of the different versions. (City News Service)
  • Rainy days: A sunny weekend gave way to a rainy Labor Day, which surely spoiled a few BBQs. The National Weather Service forecast calls for possible showers the rest of today, but high temps (91º on Wednesday) and sunshine for the rest of the week.
  • RB Planning Board: The Administrative Committee rescheduled its Monday meeting for tonight at 6 p.m. at the Bernardo Heights Community Center, 16150 Bernardo Heights Pkwy. This is meeting where the board sets the agenda for its Sept. 15 meeting.
