Recognizing Valerie Brown: The RB Community Council took a few moments to honor Valerie Brown last evening with a certificate of recognition for her three years as Director of RB Neighborhood Watch. Athen's Market, a local Greek restauran...t owned by Nick and Vicki Anastosopolus, donated a very generous gift certificate. Sunshine Care donated a wonderful gift certificate for 3 trips to their property to pick as much fruit and vegetables as Valerie would like. Sunshine Care is a community of assisted living, Alzheimer's, memory and dementia care facilities located on 32-acres in Poway. What makes Sunshine Care so special is that they have a huge organic vegetable garden, a huge organic fruit orchard, a huge organic herb garden, and they also produce their own honey! They give free community lectures on how to care for your various plants and produce and more.
