Parents and Children Needed for Student Research MOTHERS RECEIVE $20 AND A TOY FOR HELPING GRADUATE STUDENT WITH DISSERTATION RESEARCH

My name is Nicole Lightman I am a doctoral student at Alliant International University and I am asking for your help in completing my final project to earn my doctorate in psychology. I am currently recruiting participants for my dissertation that is examining why some kids get hurt more than others.

To participate you must be a mother of a child who is between the ages of 5 and 8 years old and is free of any developmental disabilities.  If you agree to participate in this study, you will be asked to go to https://alliant.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_41Jo9jhzIxuVA8d and complete consent forms and questionnaires.  These questionnaires should take you less than an hour to complete.  After completion you will be contacted by the researcher and asked to come into a lab at Alliant International University to complete activities, like problem-solving, with your child while being observed and video recorded.  This should take no more than 30 minutes.

Once this is completed you will receive your $20 gift card for yourself and your child will receive a prize.  However, this is only an option for the first 100 people to answer these questionnaires.
