A Great, New Vet in Town!

Dr. Miranda Alexander has joined the Penasquitos Pet Clinic, located at 9728 Carmel Mountain Road.  What a great opportunity for pet lovers in the north county inland area as Dr. Miranda Alexander has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1982.  In her free time she loves to go hiking with her scientist husband, Michael, and their three standard poodles. Their felines would like to hike too, but are not allowed! Her hobbies include: reading science and sci-fi, traveling to see extended family in Australia, attending her annual Irish family reunions, and tending to her garden at home (fragent and edible plants).   Dr. Miranda Alexander’s devotion to animals extends beyond her practice. She co-founded the St. Vincent de Paul Vaccine Program, where she has generously volunteered her time for the past 23 years.  Once a month, she gives immunizations free of charge to dogs and cats of the homeless and the economically disadvantaged. Not only are her services free, she also compensates her staff to assist her and brings all the necessary medications and supplies. In 2005, Father Joe Carroll honored Alexander with the Bishop Maher Award for her tireless work in helping the community.
