New 'Casa' President Looks to Future As Community Marks 25 Years

Steve Riddle will lead the retirement community's board after 36 years in the banking and financial services industries.

Casa de las Campanas has named Steve Riddle, the former vice president of San Diego National Bank's Rancho Bernardo branch, as its newest president and chairman of the board.

The not-for-profit continuing care retirement community has an all-volunteer board with nine members, including three recent appointees Kathy Frederick (Scripps Health), Wendy Cohen (Palomar Health) and Jay Riordan (Dream Design Builders), according to a news release.

The community will mark its 25th anniversary this year.

“We’re in the midst of developing a master plan for the community,” Riddle said in a statement. “This expansion and remodel will carry us to 2025.

“What we’re trying to do is to keep Casa de las Campanas competitive into the future—making certain that we are offering the amenities and providing the lifestyle environment which the new generation of retiring ‘baby boomers’ will be looking for while continuing with the excellent service and care we have committed to our current residents.”
